Terms & Conditions

By browsing or using International Product Design Awards website or services, you agree to comply fully with these Terms and Conditions without reservation. Your use of the website or services constitutes a binding agreement between you and The International Creative Design Awards (hereinafter referred to as "IPDA" or "we").

Categories

You may submit your work to as many categories as you deem appropriate. However, IPDA reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not meet the criteria for the selected category. IPDA staff and jury will not transfer your entry to a different category on your behalf.

Submissions and Payment

All entries must be accompanied by the required entry fee and completed submission forms. Entries submitted without proper payment or documentation will be disqualified. IPDA reserves the right to reject any submission that does not comply with these requirements.

Refund Policy

Entry fees are non-refundable once submitted. This includes entries withdrawn by the entrant or by IPDA due to non-compliance with entry rules. If you believe you have been wrongly charged, please contact us, and we will investigate and credit any amount due if applicable.

Judgment

The jury will review and evaluate all eligible entries submitted through digital means. All matters related to the evaluation process and voting procedures are confidential. The decisions of the jury are final and binding.

Intellectual Property and Applicant’s Warranty

By submitting your work, you certify and warrant that:

1.  You are the sole and rightful owner of all intellectual property rights in the submitted design(s).

2. If the design was created by multiple individuals, all contributors have consented to the submission.

3. The design(s) do not infringe on any third-party rights, including copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.

You agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless IPDA from any claims, demands, or causes of action arising from the use of your submitted design(s).

Publicity License
By submitting your work, you grant IPDA a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your design(s), along with any provided information and metadata, for promotional and informational purposes related to the awards. This includes the right to authorize third parties to use the materials for the same purposes.

Use of Imagery and Material

Copyright and all other intellectual property rights remain with the designer and/or photographer. IPDA will provide appropriate credit for any images used. Submitted materials may be used by IPDA for marketing and promotional purposes, including in exhibitions, print, and digital media, without monetary compensation.

IPDA is not responsible for materials submitted in violation of competition rules or copyright regulations. If a copyright infringement claim is substantiated, IPDA will remove and disqualify the offending submission. However, IPDA is not liable for any damages resulting from such violations.

Disposal of Submitted Material

IPDA reserves the right to destroy or otherwise dispose of submitted materials once they are no longer needed for the purposes of the competition. Materials will not be returned to entrants.

Liability

IPDA’s decisions regarding all matters related to the awards are final, and no correspondence will be entered into. IPDA is not liable for any damages, costs, or expenses arising from your participation in the awards, except in cases of intent or gross negligence on the part of IPDA.

Modification of Terms

IPDA reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Changes will become effective upon publication on the IPDA website. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically for updates.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada and the province in which IPDA is headquartered. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that province.
